The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the strongest in research in Germany. Research projects at the Department of Mechanical Engineering are funded by the DFG, the BMFTR, and the EU, amongst others. Currently, the Department has spokesmen for and coordinates several collaborative DFG projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Profile of the professorship<\/strong><br \/>\nYou conduct research related to resource efficiency, complementing the Department\u2019s profile in \u201cProduction Technology and Logistics and their Digitalization\u201d, and further develop your research profile with (inter)national visibility. In doing so, you participate in research networks and cooperations within and outside TU Dortmund University and are committed to promoting early career researchers. You participate appropriately in the teaching activities of the department.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your qualifications<\/strong><br \/>\nYou have obtained a doctorate with above-average success and have acquired a post-doctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation) or an equivalent qualification. You have demonstrated your research excellence in the field covered by the professorship through continuous international publications in recognized peer-reviewed journals and have experience in acquiring third-party funding. Additionally, you will have the potential for excellency in teaching. Social and leadership skills, combined with a high sensibility for diversity and gender aspects, as well the willingness to participate in academic self-administration will complete your profile.
